Top Hand Clinics is seeking individuals, churches, or other groups who would like to  take part in the Ministry by hosting a clinic at their facility. Below is a guideline of what a  typical clinic consists of, the responsibilities of the host, and the services Top Hand Clinics  provides.

The base horsemanship clinic would require a round pen and a riding area, such as an arena.  The clinic model is, however, very flexible. The base horsemanship clinic model is for two days, but if the host desires a one day, or three day, clinic we can do that. If the host wants a session of the clinic to include starting horses on cattle, or working horses on cattle, we can handle that as well.  There are many possibilities that Top Hand can accommodate. If you have a vision, please contact us and we will work to make it a reality.

Base Horsemanship Clinic Model:

Saturday morning- Groundwork, Preparing for the first ride, First ride

Saturday noon- Lunch, Devotion

Saturday Afternoon- Continuing your colt after the first ride

Saturday evening- Supper, Men’s devotion, Women’s devotion

Sunday morning- Breakfast, Cowboy Church

Sunday after Church- Polishing your advanced horse

Sunday after riding- Devotion or testimony

Responsibilities of the Host:

Providing the facility (arena or riding area and round pen where the clinic will take place, overnight pens for horses for students and instructors)

Providing restrooms

Providing and preparing meals (If providing meals is difficult for the host, contact Top Hand and we will put you in touch with a traveling chuckwagon cook that we have used in the past)

Lodging at most clinics is primitive (tents, bedrolls, living quarters trailer) but somewhere to lay bedrolls in case of bad weather is appreciated (barn, shop, shed)

If the host wants to have cattle working as part of the clinic, the host will be responsible for providing the cattle.

Host is responsible for local advertising. The success of the clinic is dependent on the host’s ability and willingness to invite people to attend and get the word out that a clinic is taking place. The host can send any interested parties the Top Hand Clinic contact information for any questions, but the responsibility of initial contact with  potential students rests with the host.

Optional– Any local musician or worship team who would like to provide praise and  worship during Cowboy Church is welcome to do so

Top Hand Clinics will provide all of the instruction, and will provide the messages  and devotions. Top Hand Clinics will use their social media platforms and the  contacts available to them to advertise every clinic. At each clinic a Top Hand award  and Most Improved award is given. Top Hand Clinics provides the awards.

Cost- Tuition cost for each student is generally $250 for a two day clinic. A $50 deposit is required to  hold each student’s spot in the clinic, with $50 of the deposit going to the host to cover  the costs of food, restrooms, etc. The remaining money goes to the Top Hand  Clinics.
